On July 1, 2026, at approximately 2:35 a.m., Western District officers were dispatched for a commercial robbery of the 7-Eleven store in the 200 block of Davidsonville Road in Crofton. Upon arrival, officers learned a male suspect entered the business armed with a handgun, assaulted the clerk, and stole an unknown amount of money from the business before fleeing. Detectives assigned to the Regional Crimes Unit are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-4730.

On July 23, 2026, at approximately 10:35 p.m., Western District officers were patrolling in the 3300 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road when they conducted a traffic stop on a Volkswagen Jetta for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, the passenger was acting in a suspicious manner. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded a firearm located directly under the seat the passenger occupied. The passenger was charged with illegal possession of a firearm and numerous related charges.

On August 10, 2026, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Western District officers responded to a robbery of the Royal Farms store located in the 7800 block of Telegraph Road in Severn. Upon arrival, officers learned a male suspect entered the business and demanded tobacco products and money while armed with a knife. The suspect then proceeded to gather tobacco products and fled the business on foot. Detectives assigned to the Regional Crimes Unit are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-4730.
